I think the area is too small for a half circle bench. How about more comfortable chairs? How many do you need to seat? Atable like this that the sides fold down might help: I like the upholstered chair. Karen, I like your idea of a half-round (or L-shaped) booth. I'd upholster it, and use an open leather ottoman with a shelf below as the table in front of the windows. I have a nice small square one from Bernhardt.

I see where you were going with the glass and acrylic furniture, but wood, fabric and leather might read more 'cozy'. That's a challenging feeling to achieve next to those large windows.

Look at sofa tables that would tuck in front of the long window and a couple nice stools with backs for sitting and gazing out and chatting over a nice adult beverage or coffee. No bench. They are difficult to work with and with the size of this space would be less functional than chairs. I will hunt for some possibilities. How wide is the big window?
