Colored crystal chandelier

Does anyone have good pics of colored crystal chandys? I'm specifically looking for Amber or yellow crystal, but any color will do. I googled but found nothing pretty, and is making me think there is a reason chandys are best in clear crystal.

I just bought one for my bedroom but it has a drum shade with amber crystals hanging down from it. It is called Alenya and one of the places you can get it from is Amazon. Hope this helps.

ELK Lighting has a few with amber.

A quick Houzz product search for "amber chandelier" came up with these:

This is our dining room chandy. This was existing when we moved in. It had battered black shades. I was going to replace them but I like the look without. The crystals are a smokey gray. I really like it, although I probably wouldn't have picked it out myself.

Theclose, that is fantastic and classy. I have not been able to find something like that in yellow or amber crystal. The links the other poster provided yielded nothing.

    Nothing??

Perhaps if you were more specific... What size, how many bulbs, what style?

In my opinion, crystal white will be cleaner and more suitable. I just received my chandelier crystal.

But I suggest you take another one, it's white and can bright your whole room. Too much gray can't give a great mood I think

I am considering a flush mount chandy like this one, not nearly as fancy but this is close . The fixture is missing some crystals (clear) but since I have to get replacements anyway, it occurred to me some yellow/amber accent prisms would be interesting. Trouble is, I haven't seen anything to inspired me . Maybe you have .

Take a look at American Brass and Crystal chandeliers. Made in America. I have two of their chandeliers, which I bought at Capital Lighting, also known as 1-800-lighting.com, IIRC. It is best to see them in a store because you have so many options to choose from, which include color/finish of body, type and color of crystal and style. I bought the first from the selection in the store (they took it down from the ceiling and crated it for delivery), the second was custom made for me. I have no affinity with this company, just love the elegant lighting fixtures. You can also find them for sale on other online lighting sites. It is ideal to see the finishes in person since these are not cheap knock-offs. The colored crystals are beautiful, though I did choose clear. True crystal sparkles because of the cut bevels in the pieces like Kathy's pretty chandeliers above.http://www.abclighting.net/Product/CH7022-OS-GT-16G-PI.htm

So you already have a fixture picked out, but are just looking to replace some of the crystals?

To make is look something more like this one I found at Neiman Marcus?

Errant, it looks like your pic does have some Amber crystals but hard to tell.

I'm thinking there is a reason chandy are mostly clear glass--they reflect the most light. I may get some Amber teardrops and experiment but will also get plain Crystal. The room is small and dark and I need the brightest light possible. I'm afraid colored glass might take away.

    Thanks all for your input.

guess what: I decided to go all clear. the room is small and I need the brightest light that clear glass provides. would have been fun to buy diff color crystals to play with, but I had neither the time or inclination. It will be beautiful in clear crystal.

But still, I really didn't find very many inspirational pics. But I know people use/have colored chandys b/c the web is packed with vendors selling all kinds of beads in all colors. I guess they're just not posting their pretties. The multicolor ones seemed fit for kid rooms, not what I was looking for. There were lots of pics of those but hardy any subdued elegant ones, except the black one by theclose and the white one by Kathy, posted in this thread.

Lampsplus.com has several w/amber color crystals by Kathy Ireland. I was out looking at light fixtures back in Ca with DD and saw several of them IRL, and thought they were very pretty.

yours are lovely but I was trying to enhance an old chandy I already own, not really looking for a new fixture.

Well, here's a pic of the small chandelier in DD's bedroom. As for where to find colored crystal or crystal-look drops for your own chandelier, my first thought is Etsy.

I decided all clear was the most elegant option for me plus the most light producing. Mark this project complete!
