Hate our travertine tile, the divits, the wide grout lines....

Can we prep, prime or paint then use an epoxy coating that will either smooth out the ups and downs of the tile or would be happy just to have it one color. All the tiles are firmly set, just the travertine has pits, please help. We can't afford a $3-4,000 new floor. I hope it can work and what is the best product for the job?

I do not think painting will be the answer maybe you could have concrete poured over top and have a polished concrete floor?

Travertine is beautiful! Maybe you are just shocked because you weren’t expecting it to look that way. Go to a few tile stores and look at the travertine and maybe an open house or two. Maybe you will love it once you get over the initial shock. I think it looks beautiful!
