Pool resurface question

I am having my pool resurfaced and the supplies were delivered today... It seems they are using 15 bags of Diamond Brite and 8 bags of premixed Marbletite... Is that normal to mix materials when resurfacing? They said it was a pebble finish but now I am starting question what's going on here. Any feedback would be helpful.

If they have marbletite "Bond-Tite" bags, they are likely using this as the bond coat between the existing plaster and the new Diamond Brite...an important step... Diamond brite is a pre-bagged quartz finish. Installation must be done per manufacturer's instructions or your manufacturer's warranty may be affected, however there are a number of variables in pool plastering, so it may behoove you to find out from the installer exactly what they plan on doing. Many times installation methods differ between various geographic regions due to weather, humidity, time of year, etc....
