Encore tile question

I think I have finally made my decision with my backsplash tile, ( Encore crackle in silver) and thanks to this site I read about their Bravo line. If I'm reading this right, I can get the Silver color at a discounted price with quicker shipping? Has anyone gone this route? I'm wondering if the tile is the same quality as the regular line...I sure hope so!

Plus, just to mix things up has anyone seen their color Cirrus? They didn't have the new color at my tile store...

Thanks!

My understanding of the Bravo line is that it is Encore's most popular colors, available in a limited number of sizes & is in stock with a quicker shipping time & more affordable price. You might want to ask your tile store to get you a sample of what their current stock is. I'm attaching a thread from another GWer. She used Encore Silver in the Bravo line & her tile store suggested she get a sample.

I've seen pictures of Cirrus - it looks beautiful & I would love to get my hands on a sample of it. http://ths.gardenweb.com/discussions/2540193/encore-crackle-tile-questions

Thanks so much for the reply. I asked my tile store for a current sample of the Silver and the Cirrus. Plus I'm thrilled because the Bravo line in the 3x8 will be slightly cheaper...but still more than I initially wanted to spend! This will definitely be my big splurge in the kitchen!

Romy..I found the thread on your hunt for the perfect Encore tile, I felt your pain! This stuff isn't as easy or fun as it looks! ;) I can't wait to see your entire kitchen, so far I love every single thing! Might have to pay you the compliment of copying!!

It's worth the splurge. The Encore tile pulled my whole kitchen together & gave it warmth & depth. My favorite visual design element of my kitchen.

I had no idea Encore had 50 plus colors of crackle tile. I looked at two. My hunt could have been a lot more painful.

Romy, if you had it to do all over again, would you have still gone with the silver? I'm going into the rabbit hole, I mean tile store ;) tomorrow to look at the color choices again. My cabinets will be white, and my counters will be Viatera Minuet. Here is a sample of the counters with the Silver tile. Thanks!

Just wanted to add that if you are looking for a more consistent colored light grey tile with less variation, you might look at the Walker Zanger Pipe Smoke. It appears to have variation in the color pooling but not as much color variation.

Well, too late! Silver ordered :))))) I just got back from the tile store, and after seeing all the colors in person it only confirmed my love for the Silver. We are at the beginning of our renovation, so it won't be going in for about two months. I would love to see more pictures of yours!

I'm very excited for you. You're going to love it. Don't freak out, like I did, when your order arrives. I opened a couple of boxes & the tile colors didn't look as I had expected. Once all the boxes were unpacked, the color mix was even better than the sample board I had fixated on. My reveal is coming soon, I promise. I thought I would post it last week but ran out of time.

I was standing in my kitchen this afternoon - a little break from planting on a hot day (not complaining) & was looking at my tile. Don't worry - you are going to love it.

romy718 - I saw you did a post about Zeitgast's Sonoma Star TriBeCa Bossy Gray and had a picture. Was the picture you posted your kitchen? I'm in the process of having mine done and I'm trying to figure out what counter, backsplash, and hardware to go with. I really liked the hardware in the picture you posted. If yours, can you tell me where to find it? Was it nickel? Also, what countertop did you go with? It is all white or is there some color movement?

Thank you much. This process is driving me crazy. I know they are "first world" problems but they can be expensive ones and I really want to get it as close to perfect as I can.

Thanks, Romy! I'd love to see more pictures of your kitchen. I'm bummed because my contractor didn't order enough tile, so we are on hold to finish the backsplash. But I still have enough to ogle for now :)
