Bathroom vanity - do you like the granite or think it's too much?

I'm going for a "Candice Olsen" type look of marble, creamy white cabinets, chrome fixtures and pretty accents. This is a remnant piece that can be cut down and an undermount sink added. One picture is the granite remnant and other picture is cabinet that will be painted a creamy white. I'm just not quite sure.

Take paint chips to that granite as a creamy white (French white?) might be a little too cream for this - it also depends on what sort of light you have in that bathroom - is there any natural light at all? Sometimes colors can look completely different in the home compared to the showroom, so see if you can take a sample of that granite home and look at it with the paint chips and see what you think from there. Personally I would opt for a brighter white, perhaps with a hint of grey to give it a little push, but nothing stark. Accent with a pop of color!

Appears to be a quartzite rather than granite. In our area it is called White Vermont but goes by other names depending upon location. Just make sure that it will be suitable for everyday use without etching and staining.

Yes looks a lot like Super White quartzite that I put in my master bath a few months ago. I am definitely careful with it.

I'm loving the idea of black for cabinets! I'll definitely consider that! There is no natural light in the room, but there will be overhead lighting as well as vanity lighting. I'm probably more drawn to a softer look with Carrera marble, but always open for something unique.

Deborah: I believe it is called White Vermont now that you mention it. It was made for a kitchen island but was measured wrong. It has a very nice ogee edge.
