I moved into a house last winter and the yard seems to have been neglected for years. The front yard isn't too bad and I managed to do some planting over the summer. But the back yard literally has tree weeds. Weeds so big that they have turned into trees. I want to start a vegetable garden, but all I seem to do is remove weeds and before I know it the weeds are back. I've used weed "killers" but nothing seems to work. Nor can I keep up. The whole house is surrounded by weeds. The lawn is fine, but its just the immediate periphery of the house but its so much that if I weed one area, it takes me days to remove the weeds.... and I can't get it even 100%.

Should I just get a company to come and remove all the weeds? Are there such companies? Do you know if it is affordable on a really tight budget?

I'm in Michigan, if that helps at all.
