If you move the seating out, you would have space for a console table and mirror. If you need the seating, place it further away from the door, perhaps.

    Could we see more angles?

so would you suggest a console table or keeping the entry way empty?

im guessing you need a rug. so i would go to a runner style. address the bare walls with some art. since the entry itself is rather cramped. keep it open and draw people to the stair case. by hanging some art up the wall.

Lovely floors and great light. I rather like that the mirrored doors (dated as they are) reflect so much light into the foyer. I am a bit confused why you have such a large piece of furniture in the foyer. Perhaps from these angles it looks too big. Instead, I'd rather see a table with ottoman seating if you want somewhere to sit down to take off your shoes. I would of course replace the mirror with some artwork.

I would also add a larger area rug that added some color. You have beautiful floors and i wouldn't want to cover them up entirely with a runner. Not sure the color of the other rooms, but pick up a color from that palate.

Sorry to keep asking you to take picture... Can we see the couch straight on?

because the floors are dark would you recommend a light coloured console?

I was originally going to put a console next to the wall immediatley following the mirrored closets.

I also suggest removing the mirror panels off the closet doors and adding a larger rug by the doors. Would be nice if the rug had some detailed kind of design to it. I would love to see some warmer colors in this space, in the red or orange family. I would also recommend removing the chair that is currently there. It's size does not appear to fit well with the location. You may want to look into painting your entry doors a different color. Not sure what they look like on the outside. I'd like to see a narrow console table with a plant and some colorful artwork hanging above it. Would help balance out the space.

Looking towards staircase, consider an accent table on the right wall with multiple frames over it. On opposite wall a co ordinating single piece of art work. My gut says both walls need something with that sofa or it will feel like a zig zag - bouncing from sofa to console...does that make sense?

Maybe a accent table that has curves in it (Ballad Design) to compliment staircase with a mirror over it to balance mirror by the door, plus artwork across.

I wouldn't put things crowding into the immediate entryway, but would favor using the walls on the next portion of the hall for a table and mirror on one side and a narrow bench with artwork on the other. Put the chair elsewhere, and add some shoe storage under the bench if need be. Agree with using a much wider (and/or longer) rug, encompassing the width of the entry even if you only use one door.

Going forward, this space might actually feel nicer if you replaced the double doors with a centered (possibly even a bit wider) single door and sidelights on both sides -- will help center things, give you more space on either side (for shoes or umbrellas or whatever) and probably give you more light in the end too.

Maybe a unusual accent table with mirror over it with framed artwork across from it.

Entry mats need not look commercial, many are quite nice.

I think sticking to some clean lines and modern tones, to the tune of something like this, could look nice!
