My garden is about 400-500 feet from the closest water source. What's the best way to get water to it on a limited-to-no budget? First logical answer I know is to move it closer, but you don't know my wife :)

Options I've considered:

• Get a 255 gal water tote to keep over there and run it back to fill when it goes dry with a trailer I have
• get a 15 gal sprayer that can sit on the back of my atv that I will fill up before I head over there
• buy (5) 100' garden hoses (will be going through the yard, in front of the house, and across the driveway, so I would have to put it up every time I watered) Will I even be able to maintain pressure at that distance?
• Do a daily rain dance?

I plan to eventually drill a well over there as there's a barn that I'd like to have animals in etc., but that's a few years off at least.

Any other ideas or obvious winners/losers?
