Okay. So, I was overly optimistic when I purchased seeds. I have several new gardens started. I have two regular garden beds--one is about 50' x 50' and the other is about 10' x 30'. I decided that the biggest one will be more like a yard with various bed and pathways. And the other for peas and then pumpkins. I also have 3 new raised beds and 1 old raised bed. They're just waiting to be filled with soil. I did get some lettuce planted in the old one.

Digging bermuda grass out of the tilled beds is miserable. Some of it is in pieces and comes right out, but some is so deep--it seems like it's 2 feet down! My right hand is actually swollen and bruised from digging so much. I cleaned off one little strip and planted a few peas, but there's no way I can clean all the bermuda pieces out of the rest of the bed. There's not enough time and my hands can't do it. So---I suppose I will make two 4' x 30' raised beds, but that probably won't happen this year.

I have all these seeds that I won't have room for this year, including asparagus crowns. Will these seeds expire? Many of the packets are marked with a "December 2015" date. I just don't know how I'll have all the beds prepared for this year and I don't want all my seeds to go to waste. I'm trying to decide what to plant. I have several tomato seedlings inside, so one raised bed will be for tomatoes. (How deep should a raised bed be for tomatoes. I dug out all the grass and weeds and then put cardboard down.)

Anyway, choices, choices.
