ADA compliance???

as the parent of a disabled child, this room is not only not to code, but is inaccessible for many with disabilities. The vertical railing on the top bunks appears too wide, thus dangerous; the ceiling height seems too low; the stairs/steps appear too narrow for an average foot and without a safety rail or nonslip treads, while the risers are too tall. This room is not for children, the disabled, or even many able-bodied people. Please consider that when designing!

You can't design a room personal to your needs based on everybody else's needs... This was not designed for you nor your children. It's not a hotel or an airbnb.

Can we go back to a world where people can do what they want in their own homes and bedrooms? Is that too much to ask?

Now if this was an airbnb or hotel, then I agree with you but it's not the case....
