This is what I have suggested before. Close your eyes. Prepare and cook your meal. Is the trash in the slide out cabinet easy to get to? How many steps between everything. Now clean up, run dishwasher and put stuff away. Everything accessible? Easy to reach? Now take your plans and designate each cabinet/drawer with a duty. This one holds baking needs, this one holds cereal and canned goods etc. You should literally know where everything will be stored. This way you can make this a practical plan that meets your needs.
