For a safe choice, pick the gray from the rug background. For a lighter choice, pick the lighter blue. For real zing, pick the lime/yellow.

Try turning the rug in the other direction so the length runs with the chest. I'd go with the lighter blue that's also in the bird's wing.

Hope you're considering replacing your curtains with some that go to the floor. The medium gray from the rug would look nice for drapes.

I pretty much agree with above posters. I would love to see the rug turned the other way. I adore the choice of rug and the birds are perfect.
