My yuckie kitchen

I've been in my apartment building for over twenty years, and my kitchen does not have fan or filter, and years of hard grease has accumulated on the walls. I want to redo my kitchen badly, because I don't know how to resolve this issue I am stump on design ideas. I am open to cleaning tips, and especially design ideas for updating a vintage galley kitchen. Reminder I do rent and I want to do it with a budget of $200. Thanks in advance.

Here are some cleaning ideas. kitchen wall cleaning

Stand outside the room and take some pictures of the whole room, not just little bits of it. I assume you are asking about paint color suggestions.

After 20 years in the same apartment, the landlord may be willing to paint for you. Have you talked to the landlord already?

Any good dishwashing detergent and a terrycloth towel might be a good place to start. If you already tried other cleaners, let us know what hasn't worked for you.
