I bought three fig trees (Adam, Cape Brown and White Genoa) in 3/4 gallon plastic bags from local nursery in January (South African summer). The trees range from 1' to 2' and I potted them up a 1' diameter pots. Each little tree had about 5 figs on of which most ripened and were enjoyed by myself and some birds. I was surprised that the figs did not added any significant growth since I bought them. Did they expend all there energy in setting the fruit or was it simply to late to expect growth in one month in summer and 1 month in fall? Or are they catching up after being repotted? Would like to know if I should have seen more growth as fall approach.Temperatures are still 25-30degC.
