I don't like to keep my toothbrush in a bathroom so it is in the kitchen.

Before I got my electric I had it in a holder with fake flowers. No one could see it. Now modernity has taken over.

We don't have a medicine cabinet, so mine is in the drawer. As in my kitchen, I don't like a lot of clutter on the counter top in the bathroom. Plus, I have always thought it seems a little unsanitary to keep the toothbrush out in the open in the same room where the toilet gets flushed. Then about a year ago I saw a segment on TV about how it really isn't good to keep your toothbrush exposed in the vacinity of the toilet.

Our toothbrushes are rechargeable battery ones, too. So, they normally sit on the counter on the charging unit. When they are charged, the plug gets pulled out of the outlet. As another poster said, it's not good for them to be on the charger all of the time. I try to keep most everything else put away except the soap dispenser, but sometimes the hairdryer gets left out. I would like an outlet inside the cabinet drawer so the hairdryer could be plugged in there and more apt to be put away after using it. Better to see the nice granite countertop without the clutter!

Our electric toothbrushes stay on their chargers under the sink. I've drilled holes for the cords to go to an adjoining cabinet that has a plug for the jetted tub. Our manual toothbrushes are kept in the tip out "drawers" in front of the sink.

On the counter. Or in the bathtub. Or in a basket of toys. Wherever my 2 year old manages to whisk it away to after stealing it from the counter. For all I know, she uses it to clean the toilet and then brushes our dog's teeth with it and then sticks it back in the toothbrush holder. Gasp! And I have yet to get sick from all those nasty germs!

It/they ( have two) in a toothbrush holder on the wall in a wire shelf hanger at side of sink but up. I prefer them far from sink for several reason , also when cleaning bathroom, be sure to move it away from area when using window spray for mirrors. Some toothbrushes have caps that cover them, so that is even better.

I have a covered toothbrush holder/stainless that sits out on the sink - it is covered- I am not happy that it is stainless - but it was the only one I have found that has the flip down lid and helps keeps germs out while letting the toothbrushes breathe

I have a closed in toilet area with a sliding door. The toilet is about 9 1/2 feet from the shower. The shower has a small space that is used for things like towels etc and there is a small window above it with a small shelf. The tooth brushes are on that shelf. Every toothbrush is dosed with rubbing alcohol and well rinsed once a week and replaced every 3 months. Tooth brushes are gross.

One of our favorite design tricks is to hide the toothbrush, toothpaste, flossers, etc. in a bathroom inside a tilt-out at the sink. The false front on most vanity cabinets is a perfect place to utilize just a little extra storage to keep these utilities off of your beautiful vanity tops!

totally gross for a lot of people but ever since I met my husband, we have shared a toothbrush and neither of us will brush our teeth unless it's kept in the shower. don't worry we change toothbrush tops quite often haha also, for the people who want to inform me about how transferring toothbrushes can cause cavities from the bacteria and ppl with cavities, my husband has somewhere around 8 cavities and I have never had a single cavity :)

Electric, on counter next to sink, but plenty of room, so doesn't get splashed of dirty. Toilet is not close by, it's in a room with a door on it, inside the bathroom.

A bathroom has to function and toothbrushing is one of its more important functions. We each have our own holder and matching cup at our respective sinks. Keep them looking good, no old nasty things. The toilet is in its own room, so no germs from that. But, I have to laugh at the comments about germs. I wonder how many have towel bars anywhere near the toilet? Or tissue boxes on top of the toilet. UGH.

My husband and I each use electric so they are each on the counter, one by his sink and one by my mine. We have the larger charger (with cleaning part) (mine came with 2 chargers, one small & one large) inside the upper cabinet next to our sinks. We had our builder install outlets in there. Just use it for cleaning our brush heads, in between replacing them. Our counters are very spacious so I don't mind leaving them out. Also, toilet is in its own room (with a door on it) in our bathroom, so that works for us. I really like our electric TB's.

My toothbrush is in a toothbrush holder inside the bathroom closet. Why is it in hiding? Because its a necessary acessory thats not very attractive

All toothbrushes in my house are kept in personalized trays in drawers. Why? Because when flushed, toilets create a water spray or mist that can travel up twenty feet away from the toilet. Toilet water on a toothbrush is just yucky!

Just found this fun wall-hanging piece at a craft store in Hood River, OR:

As a kid, we had a wall-mounted toothbrush and water cup holder. So all 4 in the family hung theirs there. Later when my parents remodeled, they were kept in the vanity drawer.

As an adult, I started brushing my teeth in the shower. Less mess in the sink to clean and multi-tasking.

I did have an electric that needed to charge and that had to be kept on the bathroom counter. But that was in our 'big house', so my vanity and shower were on the opposite end of the room from the 'water closet'.

Now in a smaller bathroom, I keep it in the medicine cabinet (not a charging electric, just battery), because the shower is next to the throne, even if the curtain and liner are closed...not taking chances :P

I have a round pink toothbrush holder of shiny ceramic that matches my bathroom decor. And, yep, the toothbrush is pink too. Somebody stop me!!!:)

I didn't want a medicine cabinet, so we built in a special toothbrush niche for our electric brushes, with the power outlet hidden on the inside of the niche.
