I'm struggling with the same decision, with similar granite and flooring colors. Want a mix of warm and cool tones in my kitchen and great room space. The cabinet company my builder is using has white, linen, and ivory (too yellow) cabinet color options, and I really wish there was something between the white and linen shades. The linen seems like it would have a more sophisticated look than the stark white shade, but I'm concerned the linen may look yellowish, especially if I use a lighter shade for the window trim and on the pantry door.

I'm painting my cabinets white. It does have a touch of black and gold in the paint making it ivory but it is more white to me than ivory. I did paint them white before and rubbed brown stain on them and distressed the edges. Now I feel like I want a more cleaner and brighter look. My condo doesn't get any sun in it. I'm liking how it is turning out.

Are you looking at them in the store or in your home under the lighting conditions where they will be placed? I'm also doing a "white" kitchen, so I brought door samples into the space and placed them where the cabinets will be. It was actually surprising how different they looked in that space compared to how they looked in the store. Love the stone choices, good luck deciding, and please post some pics when you're done.

What colour are your appliances going to be? Be careful with choosing white cabinetry if using white appliances.

Yes - I agree with Mary Dancy Interiors. You also need to consider cabinet color choice with an open concept kitchen design if you have one. What you decide will need to relate to the trim colors you choose for the rest of the space. I think you need to ask yourself if you are a warm color person or a cool color person and go from there. What colors are you drawn to in decorating? Earth tones or cool tones?

I was hoping to mix warm and cool tones in my open plan kitchen / great room. Love Sherwin Williams/ HGTV Liveable Luxe color collection (for paint and decorating) and thought linen cabinets would coordinate better with it than bright white cabinets, but I think the lighter SW Snowbound white trim in the same room may cause the cabinets too look yellow or dirty. Overall, I want my house to feel contemporary but warm...and the white vs. linen cabinets has me stumped!

White is a bit cooler and crisper...antique white is a bit more mellow and comforting to me.

Either one looks OK, but I like the clean look of the pure white.

I would check these colors within your kitchen to see how they react to each other.

I am having the same dillema. I will say that I have found that the colors vary drastically in your home from what you see in a store or online. I would look at them at home if you can. Also, I prefer the hardwood to the tile myself. I think the contrast with the cabinets really accents both the floor and the cabinets.

Antique white! Looks so elegant and beautiful and coordinates with the darker tones.

Our vote is for the antique white! It ties everything together, bringing out the warmer tones in the flooring and tile samples.

I had the exact same dilemma and went with antique white cabinets vs white and I really like them. My White Ice granite is being installed tomorrow so I will post some pictures soon.
