I started to grow my pond plants early inside this year for the first time.... I got them out if dormancy at the end of Febuary and they've grown a ton. However I just came back from a 10 day trip to Florida and I noticed my pickerel weed has brown spots all over its leaves and most if not all the leaves have Browning at the edges..... I had someone come and take care of all my plants of course but usually I keep the soil in the pot wet until I can see water above the soil. As when placed in my pond the water is 2 or 3 inches above the crown... Anyway it was slightly dried out when I came back... Not like dry dry but I had to pour a fair amount of water untill I could see the water again.... Is this what's causing the brown spots and leaf die offs? The plants almost three feet tall now and won't go out probably untill mid may. Started it way to early!
