I especially love your Heritage and Glamis Castle. Funny how kitties always show up to be in the pictures whenever we are out in the garden. Mine do that too ...like "pay attention to MEEEEE, I am prettier than all these silly plants!" lol

Thanks! Last year I got the roses in the ground way to late (May), so they struggled. This year I have been really happy with them.

I'm with Kentucky_rose - Mine is never that pretty - plus it has NO fragrance. I'm probably going to dig it out this year since this is its 4th year with me. Yours is stunning!! And please beat me with the shovel by saying yours has tons of fragrance!! :)

Love your black and white "rose". Cats rule, and they know it! Your garden is stunning, and so well-maintained. It's just hard to believe that you can have such gorgeous roses in the middle of the desert. Wish I could do half as well. What is the large purplish rose in the front please? That color always catches my eye first.

thanks for the lovely comments! Ingrid, the one in front is Outta the Blue. It blooms great through the summer and has a nice scent.

In fact, starting with the yellow rose on the bottom left: Golden Celebration, Outta the Blue, Heritage, Tradescant, a few Blue Girl blooms you can barely see in the lower right corner, Hot Cocoa, a few you can barely see(Ebb Tide, Glamis Castle, SDLM. Against the house I have the climbing roses (all still small) Crepescule, Fourth of July, William Lobb and Alba Semi-Plena. I have to say my favorite foliage is on the Alba. That blue-slate green color is stunning.

I love my country but sometimes I wonder why I am not living in countries where I can enjoy beautiful gardens like Lorrihz all year long. Thank you for sharing.
