I'd go with white, since you want to keep your bedding. The rattan bed would look good with white bedding, but IMO, your bedding is too busy with it. The rattan bed would look best with other natural wood pieces, which you said you don't like.

The black bed would tie in with the fireplace surround, but I don't like it with all the white woodwork. I think the white looks best.

You summed that up the rattan issue well jlc712 as well as the black, especially without having other significant black (no dresser / chest).

Guess I knew the white went best and hard to get the rattan to work with it matching nothing else in the room plus was concerned it looked to tropical for the navy white nautical feel of the house. Just thought if... but... maybe... cause just love it but see that I got to love it yet let it go, move on. Thanks everyone!

Ugh, it looks like I'm always the old man, uh, woman out. I love the rattan the most and think it does go especially well with white, your bedding, mainly because it ties in with the floor and provides some texture. I'd just get some other rattan, bamboo, wood in lamps, accessories, maybe plant pots.

I'd looked & passed on so much wicker / rattan before finding/falling for it, seemed softer handed with the natural. I was thinking roll up bamboo shades could add a lot of similar texture.

I vote for the rattan bed. It's just more interesting on every level. Besides, if you're like me, you like to change out your comforter every so often, while the bed you'll keep for a much longer time.

Agree with the comment that the white bed reads "Pottery Barn Teens".

I shouldve had the footboards on the white also from the get go for a more accurate comparison.

The strange thing is I kinda agree with what people like/dislike about both the white and the rattan, probably why Im so undecided. We actually bought one of the white Kings for the biggest guest room, there at the shore today assembling it. Hopefully tossing my bedding on it will help me get off this fence

I mean you basically have shades of blue, black, white/cream, and natural in the wood and the wicker/rattan.

The rattan is my favorite of the three- I just don't personally like it with the comforter. What if you got the rattan, and just used your patterned pillows, with a solid color duvet/bedspread, as shown in the pics above?

Thank you soccermom & your prior comments about accents bring the natural in when Im avoiding the typical wood, which to me seems heavy, formal and boring. I love how crisp white but beachy feel, not modern white and the natural textures make it feel cozy / casual to me.

Since I intend for white fireplace built-ins, went looking for rattan with white nightstands, These looks appeal to me.

I think it'll look great. It can go beachy, Asian, country, contemporary, romantic...

Now, I think that would look great! I especially like the first of those pics with the white bedside tables and white comforter. That would look terrific. Use the blue and white on the white guest room bed.

I notice that none of the rattans Ive seen have a busy bedspread like mine which certainly is loud, yet I do love it.

Think my chair / ottoman (below) would be better for my shams.

Or maybe fold comforter down to cover half the bed with a solid navy or white blanket& sheet exposed to bring in more solid.

That would look great with bamboo blinds and wicker lamps. Or blue/white ginger jar lamps with raffia shades.

BTW Idea of pillow sham as a chair pillow might seem strange but its good news for me.

Im now looking at a tacky batman pillowcased bed pillow on the back of the BF TV room chair - he has always used random bed pillows for it before I came into the picture. New house, new slate and Ive a fighting chance said pillow will actually match the room.
