Are they shutters or wide slat blinds?

Good question, I thought they were plantation shutters.

You have blinds. Here's a picture of shutters. What are your blinds made of? Vinyl or wood?

They look like blinds in the pic. Plantation shutters are typically wooden if that helps. I think keeping them or not boils down to a matter of your taste and concern for privacy if you have one. I think plantation shutters are great. I also like the wide slat blinds and have them in my kitchen, but they're not for everyone I suppose.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they are blinds... Shutters would have a frame around them and be mounted with hinges to open and close like a door.

But regardless, if you need the privacy and light control, you may want to keep them. You can always update your look by changing out the drapery etc.

I would keep them. You can always pull them up all the way so the windows look open and leave yourself the option to use them for privacy or to block the sun.

I like your blinds but if you want a different look you could use shades.
