My fireplace mantel is naturally finished and is lacewood which ends up being a beautiful color but different than my other woodwork in the living room. Do I stain the cupboards and book shelves the same as the mantel or the med walnut my woodwork is. There will be molding running up each side of the stone to the ceiling as well. My thought was to do it the same as the mantel, Is this wrong tho?
