I'm afraid you're going to have to use good old fashioned elbow grease; no weed killers for sure as it would kill your bulbs and with little kids you shouldn't be using any chemicals anyway. Pull, pull, pull!!☺☺☺

If you water the flower beds thoroughly down to the bottom depth of the roots of the weeds, they will pull out much more easily from moist soil and the roots won't break off. Trust me they will, but as I am loathe to weed, I always find someone else do it, usually my poor husband!!☺☺
