Yes, they are pricey, but there are plenty of people who have $$$$$$ and are willing to pay for what they want. My sister-in-law had two in a previous home and loved them.

That is what I thought as well, pricey - but I wondered about functional vs price in my case. Thank you

I have no first hand experience, but they seem to fit a need. segbrown used them quite nicely in her hutch - scroll down about halfway to see pictures with the refrig drawers open http://ths.gardenweb.com/discussions/2703803/finito-one-more-white-marble-soapstone-kitchen

Too pricey for me, and they have to be "hidden" in expensive cabinetry and topped with expensive countertops, making the price even higher. I kind of don't see the point.

i thought i wanted this for drinks but i changed to an undercounter beverage fridge instead. I like the glass front look and this is less expensive to boot.

We have refrigerated drawers in our kitchen and love them. We have a standard depth full sized fridge but with 6 people in the house there never seems to be enough room. I find we store a lot of our fresh produce in the top drawer and the bottom drawer holds things like yogurt, drinks and just other stuff that needs space. They are great as drawers because they function like regular drawers (which we all know GW'ers love) so it's easy to find and see everything and not have to search and move things out of the way like a regular fridge(or cupboard cabinet)
