Attention Passiflora Aficionados!

Hey all,

I'm hosting the Passiflora Online Kedada*of Central Florida, the first of what I hope is of many more to come. Anyone is welcome to come and trade cuttings or seeds, and we'll have a potluck lunch.

Come meet like-minded people to share information and plants! Make your cuttings now and get them rooted in time to trade for some new additions to your garden.

There will be:

• Socializing!

• Cutting/plant trading! (Rooted plants preferable, doesn't have to be just Passiflora.)

• Grafting demonstration! (Bring a rootstock if you would like to try it yourself. P. caerulea or 'Incense' is ideal, but others will work.)

• Field trip! Find Passiflora incarnata in the wild! (We will visit a nearby field, so dress appropriately to tromp through tall grass.)

• Potluck lunch! Bring some food or drink to share.

If you would like to attend please message me for my address, and what you will bring for lunch. Haines City is midway between Orlando and Tampa. Bring your families, all are welcome, and my kids will enjoy the entertainment.

I'm glad you had fun! What plants did everyone get? I don't know about everyone, but I got a bunch. :) Purple Tiger, edulis flavicarpa, Alyssa, loefgrenii iporanga x kermesina, Bucky, and some others. I gave away vitifolia, triloba, stipulata, and some of my various hybrids. There were even non-passiflora plants, like I got a nice plumeria, too. We also had fun out collecting wild Passiflora incarnata, where there was a lot of variation, from the common purples to pure white.

It's time for the 2016 Passiflora Kedada, I think we'll plan for it this April. I'll choose some tentative dates and make a survey to see what works for the most people. This should give enough time for attendees to start rooting cuttings to share.

Hey everyone, it's almost that time of year for the annual Passiflora Online Kedada* of Central Florida! It's an event where we gather to exchange plants and friendship. I'm in the planning stages currently, and I've created an online survey to help me choose the date and location. I am wondering what people would like. if anyone needs a different variety of P. incarnata for pollination, the type I have has reliably flowered and fruited with each other. This variety also pollinates P. vitifolia and I have gotten fruit from the cross. I have plenty of small passifloras that are growing from seeds from Ecuador, the types are: Laurifolia, Edulis, and Ligularis. I don't have as many P. mollissima, but could bring one. They don't tend to do well here, but I do have healthy seedlings about 3 months old. I have P. foetida plants already potted and growing, this variety produces dark red cherry size fruit and the leaves have a reddish coloration to some of them. The parents, I do not know the variety of, originals were grown from seed from a variety pack.
