I agree with Dave - Jungle Jack's is a good place to find some dwarfs or more compact trees. Divine is a really great one and they consider it a miniature. Great scent, heavy bloomer. They have quite a few miniature and compact varieties, check them out! Go under Galleries and you can search just the miniatures or just the compacts if you like.

Yes, I have ordered from JJ in the past and will probably order a few more from him. I just wanted to get everyones input on what they are growing and their experience. Thanks for the input :)

Oh cool, which ones do you have from JJ's?! My Divine is the most compact plant I have as far as overall height and branching. It blooms so often that it has a very compact branch structure. I have other varieties from JJ's but none as compact as Divine, but then again that is the only one out of the "miniature" category that I have.

Out of the "compact" category I do have Temptation, but I don't know that it's any more compact than my Desert Sunrise...

Atlantis so far has a somewhat compact appearance but I have only had it for a year.

Funny, I had pictures of several of my plumies without leaves to see the growth habits but I didn't think anyone would want to see pictures of my leafless plumies HAHA! I'll see if I can snap some more and get them posted.

Thanks elucas101 - I do have temptation and it seems like it is going to be a compact/smaller variety but I have only had it a year. I have Thumbelina but unfortunately it has 2 soft spots and I don't think its going to make it. I want to get a larger one, probably 5 gal since it will stay smaller. I need to look at Divine again, I am not big on the curling edges so I didn't look to close at it before. I do have a premium yellow/white that I got last year that seems to be in the compact group. As for the rest of mine, they are all going to be med to tall trees from what I see so far. Good thing pots slow down their growth a bit.

I hear raves about both Divine and Superround. And Grace, which used to be called Jack's Yellow, I think. Personally, I'm a fan of Serenade for bloom size and color, scent, etc.

I second what jandey said about Divine and Super Round. They are both fabulous. I also love JJ's Mini White and California Sunset. California Sunset smells like coconut to me, and I love how it blooms every year on very little growth.

All great suggestions already! Of course you can't go wrong with jjs compacts and John continuously is developing new ones. Rhonda is a giver with compact growth and is one of my favorites, peachy cream nose.

King kalakaua is a great one too, compact growth and a killer scent that wafts. Good keeping quality and a clean look with the simple white, cupped petal overlap.
