Hens 'n' chicks are a bit of an addiction of mine, and I'm almost sorry to see such a trend in succulents, because they used to be one of my high impact little secrets to always be used in unexpected and sculptural ways.

I'm happy to put in a plug for my neighborhood botanical geniuses at the small but brilliant Mapel Plants in Grafton, only open to the public during spring weekends or by appointment, but depending where you are, honestly I usually can find a section at most nurseries with any depth of inventory these days -- call around and see what you find. I haven't been to Russell's in Wayland for years, but that's the sort of place I'd look for if it's close to you. And Tower Hill Botanical garden has an annual plant sale that's worth a bit of travelling to for unusual plantings of all sorts.

Mahoney's is a bit pricey, but they do have some nice succulents and it's a chain so there are a dozen nurseries. I've been to Russell's recently and their succulents section is mostly cacti and pricey, but beautiful arrangements.

I've never been, but Avant gardens in Dartmouth is another nursery only open for visitations on certain days.
