Do Oil Rubbed Bronze faucets show water deposits and stains more?

Hello,

We are building a 5 BR custom house in Bay area, CA. We will have water softner for entire home.

We are deciding between the Oil Rubbed Bronze (ORB) and Brushed Nickle finishes for the kitchen and bath faucets. I wanted to seek your advice on it.

Aesthetically we like ORB finishes; however, some told that water's calcium deposits and stains are a lot more visible on ORB finishes, so they need extra care and maintenance (as compared to Brushed Nickle or Chrome finishes).

Based on your experience, do they need extra care and maintenance for the calcium deposits and water stains?

I have hard water and it doesn't show water marks or calcium deposits.

we have city water. so all i can attest to is they dont show dried water marks or finger prints. love my kitchen faucet to pieces.

Thanks much. Great, we will buy Oil Rubbed Bronze then. Do you know, which brand are you using? We are building our dream "Forever" home which can last for generations.

Sonia..the brand we used was Altmans for our master bath remodel in 2012.

Ours is oil rubbed bronze. Not sure the model. Love it, no problems and it doesn't show smudges...

Just put them in our kitchen and powder room, and they look fabulous and I haven't noticed any stains or marks.

Had them for 10 years with no problem at all. Doesn't show any marks. I have Delta in all the bathrooms and Moen for a kitchen sink. Both are problem free.

I have oil rubbed bronze and love it. AZ has extremely hard water so we have a water conditioning unit (Nuvo) not a water softener. NO problems with it. Just take care cleaning them. Harsh detergents and scrubbing will scratch and remove the finish. It is after all, coated

We built our house 7 years ago and used oil rubbed bronze as the finish for our kitchen faucets. We bought them from a well known distributor. This is the current state of our sprayer. I would advise all who consider this finish to not use it. BTW does anyone know how we can restore it to the way it was when new?

the nozzle is plastic, right? is the rest of the faucet in good condition? you might be able to buy just the new nozzle head.
