Equisetum hyemale - also known as Scouring rush or Horsetail grass. Great architectural plant, but proceed with caution. Not sure where you are, but here in the Pacific Northwest - be sure to plant it in a planter. It spreads like wildfire in the ground, and is extremely difficult to eradicate - if even possible. Likes it wet, or at least moist.
