We are going to put a Wood deck underneath of our Pergola, but because of the odd area, we are at a loss as to how best to lay it all out. What direction should the boards go, and should we extend the Wood past the cover of the Pergola. We are going to put a solid Roof on top. We also Need a path to the side door on the pool that should also be the same material as the deck. We used up every last Stone re-Setting the terrace. In about 10 years, the pool will need to be re-done and at that time, we plan to re-do all of the Stones on the terrace to be the same as the area around the pool. Once our neighbor is done building a retaining wall (hopefully in another couple of weeks), we are having sod put down. I want to put a small plant area at the end of the pergola wall (where the rocks are) and also need to design that shape. Thoughts?
