What ever color you choose to paint the walls, be sure to add a bit of it to the ceiling paint. Pick up a folder from your paint store of all shades of whites. So many shades. When you think you have made a pick from some, buy sample cans to paint on poster board to move around the whole room at different times of the day before selecting the final color. It is so surprising how different a wrong shade of white will effect a room. Have fun.
