cracking, pitting, and crispy edges advice

Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone can give me some advice for my two snake plants. They seem relatively healthy (nice and rigid, pretty green) but they are developing cracks in the leaves (sometimes starting at the top, bottom, or in the middle). The edges are starting to look damaged as well like theyve been cut but they haven't. And some of the leaves have random chips and pits. Is any of this from something I'm doing? They are in an orchid mix because I was concerned with root rot and knew that was the best draining mix I could buy. They don't get handled much but my cats rub on them occasionally. Any advice?
