is it a bumper splash you refer to or a splash that reaches up to under the cabinets?

For a simple splash you might consider white subway tiles(classic) as they will coord with the white appliances. For added interest a few contrast tile inserts.

If you are selling the home now or soon, consider playing it safe. Subway Tile is about as safe as you can play and remains timeless.....

If you go with a colored tile, you are committed to that color for a long time and have to coordinate around it. I would recommend a classic marble backsplash in an interesting pattern. Your pops of color can be your wall color and accessories.

what tones of blue and green are you referring to as there are many shades to these colours?

Your kitchen cabinets look fairly modern, so what about a beige glass subway tile? Also, think a ceramic tile would be nice. I wouldn't do a mosaic because it might feel too busy-keep the backsplash fairly simple. Also, be sure to make sure that whatever you pick, works with the existing floor tiles-even though they look neutral, it's best to make sure they compliment each other. I know the cabinets in the picture below are white, but I think the color of the backsplash would look nice with your dark cabinets and granite.

So I went to the tile shop and I saw a nice beach glass tile. I photoshoped it into my kitchen. What do you guys think.

Love them! I'm not sure I would do white grout with it though. Since you kitchen is modern, I would choose a grout color that is close to the color of the tile so that your backsplash looks like a sheet of glass rather than bricks. The other option would be to choose a grout color that is slightly darker than the tile to give it some dimension. Love the tiles, though. Great job photoshopping it in. See what color the tile shop recommends.
