Hi all - Going from reds and greens to blue and grey and keeping my gold - need some advice on what to do for curtains and area rug. I'm open to all suggestions! Everything staying in room is pretty neutral - My pics aren't the best but away from home this moment and posting what I have from my phone pics. Will post a better pic when I get home to include family room view

I did pick up a sample curtain from pier one but feel it's too yellow and green - also don't really know what to do for area rug

Before - red in kitchen (gold in family and sunroom)
After - blue in the kitchen (gold remains)

Both are pretty but I am partial to the blue ;) I love that shade too. Nice job. Do you really need an area rug? Under the table? If so, get an indoor/outdoor one.

Rug is for fam room - not the extended sun room beyond the kitchen. One of the after pics is from the family room looking into kitchen but is the same color as sunroom

Best pic i have of fam room on my phone is this one - I will update when I get home

Ah... well I guess it's all about going on the web and searching for the area size you need and then picking what you like! I felt the need to have one in my living room and under my dining room table... so I just did indoor/outdoor simple plain ones with a Greek key border. I'm not in LOVE with it but it's grounding the room, is super easy to maintain and wears very well. My ideal rug would be very light but that just isn't practical. Sometimes we gotta balance taste with practicality! I do think you'll need some sort of pattern though. I'd buy whatever makes you smile ... like in the photo! ;)
