Very Pretty Satish, I am new to adeniums and live in new delhi, which part of India do you live in? Where do you pit the plant in the monsoons?Do you let it get wet/rain soaked. Monsoon hasn't hit delhi yet but I am worried as I have only a terrace and no window sills.I have about 15 plants in different growth stages(all bought from nursery)One died but rest are okay so far.any advice would be very welcome

I hope Satish answers your queries Sinha. I know that different parts of India have very different climates, so it would be nice if you are both in the same climate and can share growing information.

Welcome to the forum, Sinha. We would love to see pictures of your adeniums. May I suggest you start your own thread possibly with the title something like "My Adeniums in New Delhi," or "Adenium Delh-ite in New Delhi." Just a thought.

Hi drgsinha i live in hyderabad(Andhra Pradesh) i kept my plants in moonson outdoor only. i think no worry about monsoon in india. If it rains do not water ( 5 to 7 days) let the pot fully dry.

3.what to do if it rains for hours? Do you let it get waterlogged?

Kadie, very few people make that effort of greeting other folks in their native tongue and this is an international forum,where one least expects such a thing, so it was sweet of you.

My fiend's adenium, they said that the plant doesn't have leaves, only flowers, that's the fact which made me interested in them in the first place, until I found about the soil online in various fora including this one. The soil is clay totally, but this shows the remarkable ability of the plant to survive in all kinds of soil and conditions and flower regardless.....

Thank you for sharing the flowering stages of one of your adeniums. The form your plant is taking is very nice. It also looks very healthy, and the bloom is spectacular--almost purple with a dark vein coming from the throat through the middle of the petals.
