Colours work well. Just make sure you have enough lighting in the kitchen at night. Those dark cabs will eat huges amount of light without them. Now is a good time to add lighting if you need to.

No, those outlet switches will disappear once the subway is up. Gorgeous kitchen. Install LED under cabinet lighting on a dimmer. I would go with a subway tile that is very close in color & pattern to the mini backsplash that is installed.

Yes we have installed under cabinet lighting in the kitchen and also included the pendent lights.

I wasn't expecting to see a granite as a backsplash behind the stove area.

How big is the process of taking away the granite to replace with gray subway tiles..
