I'm wondering whether it's Iceberg.... can anyone who grows it confirm or deny?

Smitrovich, it might help to know where in the world this hotel was. How big exactly would you say these blooms were? Were the stamens yellow at first? When you say 'hints of soft pink and green', was that pink mainly in the buds with the green being the green of their sepals (the 5 leaf-like things that enclose the bud at first)? Also, can you remember/estimate the overall height and width of plant?

Thanks for the reply, Comtesse! This was in San Jose, California and I'd estimate the flowers were 5-6 inches wide. They were much larger than they appear in the photos. The bushes were probably about 4 feet tall. I was wondering about iceberg, too. And I would agree with your description of the pink and green tones.

5-6 inches does seem a bit big for Iceberg, although MAYBE flowers are bigger in some situations - I really don't know, and I'm absolutely no expert on it - never grown it or even paid terribly close attention to it, I'm afraid... But since it's such a common/popular rose, I rather hoped someone would jump in who grows it. Oh well!

If you're still unsure and wanting an ID for it, I'd suggest re-posting your pics and query (along with the additional info you've given) on the general Roses forum where there's a lot more traffic; hopefully someone there will chime in.
