Congratulations Western Oklahoma !

I've been stifling my gratitude since I saw the storms smash through. I hope everyone is okay. I hope there's no serious flood damage and for what I read no or minimal tornado damage.

But it's absolutely awesome to see Western Oklahoma slammed with so much water. I know. I know. It'd be nice to have it in calmer increments but ... you know.

There's an old saying that "too much of a good thing is still too much". Well, I don't know if anyone in western OK thinks that they got too much rain, only maybe that it fell in too short of a time frame. I'm happy for them, but they still need a lot more. Some places, too, didn't get that much. Maybe they'll get some soon.

I'll link this week's rainfall map so everyone can see why a lot of people in western OK might be smiling.

From viewing the 7-day-rainfall map linked below, it looks like the OK Mesonet station wins the prize for the most rainfall recorded at a mesonet station in the last 7 days, and they surely did need it.
