I can't really recommend a specific one, but whatever you use cut it at least in half and split it over a few waterings to see how it affects your plants over time.

Half tablespoon of Miracle Grow All Purpose to a gallon of water. Use it for watering. You'll see some seedlings in cups using this in the "Planting Out 2015" thread shortly...

What tom said. Another very popular one is Foliage Pro 9-3-6. It's pricier and less available than MG AP, but it does have Calcium and Magnesium(2 very essential micronutrients necessary for proper plant health.

Miracle grow works. A fish feed also works. All of these use half reccommended portions for seedlings.

Im trying out a new one called "Pure Kelp Plant Food". Good for the roots and doesnt burn. Plants seem to like it.

I also use MG products but supplement with Mg (Epsom salt) and Ca (witch's brew) . I use it very lightly. Maybe 1/3 strength, once every other time that I water.

once weekly, weakly is a good axiom on ferts

I use my trusty Masterblend (tomato formula), Calcium Nitrate, and Magnesium Sulfate blend. 12g Masterblend, 12g Calcium nitrate, 6g magnesium sulfate per 5 gallons. Far cheaper and more complete nutrient than miracle gro, and unlike miracle gro it is a true hydro solution (nitrogen is available in liquid form).

Use for 100% of all watering at this concentration, dilute for seedlings if desired (but I have never burned a seedling at full dose)

Is there any health hazard consuming veggies/herbs produced using Masterblend as a fertilizer?

if there were, everyone would be dead by now.
"Masterblend" is no different than many of the other chemical based fertilizers you can buy. besides the organics, practically everything in the produce market is grown using synthetic fertilizer.

"if there were, everyone would be dead by now."

Not necessarily. Just because it isn't good for you, doesn't mean its going to result in a mass extinction, lol.
