My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Curious about the very wide but shallow drawers to the right of the island in this image: what are they meant to be used for?

    Yes, they're actually used for things like napkin rings, placemats, candles, and extra kitchen utensils.

    I have those in my kitchen and was dubious about them as well... They are now my favorite 'go to' storage in the entire kitchen. One layer deep makes it incredibly fast, easy to find the right spoon, peeler, etc. Definitely would recommend including in any kitchen.

    I have that same depth drawer under my cooktop, which is on my island. Every tool I need is immediately available. LOVE IT!!!! And just in case you're wondering, I have all drawers in my island,,,the rest are deep and wide... and I will never go back to cabinets again! So much more user friendly!!!
