Advice on exterior Cladding

Hello all, just want see what people think that we should clad our house in.. Background, the house is located in Vermont with the main part of it was built in 1941. It was designed by Arthur Keyes as his masters thesis from Harvard. Mr. Keyes went on to help found the architecture firm "Keyes Condon Florance" in DC area. The house was then added on the 1960s.

We're planning on pulling the existing clapboards off so that we can do a Passive house retro fit. We'll be adding insulation to the exterior before re-cladding. We're looking for a low maintenance/long life Cladding product and we want to maintain mid-century modern and/or modern house feel. Since the house is Bauhaus inspired I was thinking of doing synthetic stucco. I also do like Metal cladding systems, like the rusted look of Corten steel.. I also need find something reasonable priced as well..

Any Thoughts/Ideas?

Thanks in Advance,

Ken

BTW, the large window on the driveway photo is 11' x 6' single pane.. We're planning on replacing the windows with European Tilt and Turn style windows. (I hope)
