I think I would like an almost white blue color. however the best way to select paint is to narrow it down to 3 or 4 & buy sample cans to paint on poster board to move around the rooms & observe at different times of the day. To me, this is the best way to really select a paint color. You have a rather large area to paint so you do not want to make a mistake.

I have grey owl in my bedroom. I do love that color. Wasn't sure if it would look right in the living room and hall, stairway area. Here is pic of living room rug.

Check the gray owl color strip card for another shade to use in the living room.

Benjamin Moore HC-26 Monroe Bisque is a nice warm color with undertones that would play well with your wood floors and white (navajo white) trim.

How does the hall rug look with the bedroom paint color? Too dark? Too light? Just right?

Thank you for the great link, tancalgal. Believe it or not, I have been using the foam boards and painting on them,and moving them around from room to room. The rugs in hallway and living room really look fine with the grey owl in bedroom. I just don't think I want that color throught the living room, hall and stairs....I am leaning toward softer tan or edgecomb gray. Both seem to look fine as I move the color boards around in the area. Just not sure which will look better with my furnishings etc. I have very high ceilings in all these areas. It is a north south facing room. Get beautiful light early in am. As day goes on, the room seems to become darker.
