I thought this type of vanity was common. Maybe I'm misunderstanding what is unique about it.

Suggest looking at that sink IRL. I did and just thought it looked unfinished or like someone bought the wrong cabinet. JMHO.

That picture doesn't pass any North American building codes with the vanity smooshed up to the toilet like that. You do something unpermitted like that and you'll be regretting it big time come resale when your buyers inspectors red flag it.

I don't know your location but just bought a similar one at Menards for a small bath.The front was a bit different but would allow a little more room than the one pictured.

Thank you all for your responses --- Garden Web rocks! I suspect that the sink and the vanity in the picture I posted is European which is why we're unable to locate the exact one. But I looked at all of your options and in my searches I came across this one on sale at Home Depot. It offers a decent sized vanity, OK sink size, and the sale price makes it an attractive alternative. It leaves budget for a built in storage cabinet to compensate for the lack of counter space. Thanks again.

Regarding code; the problem is that it may be too close to the wall, not the vanity, because the cabinet is so shallow it would not constitute an encroachment. But less than 15" from the wall is the big no-no.

Fortunately, the vanity is on the opposite wall from the toilet so no code issues. Our concern was providing as much clearance as possible to access a 24" wide 88" tall linen cabinet.
