Fabrics and colours for an apartment Inner City makeover

I recently met with a client in the Inner West who had been living in a newly built apartment. He had decorated the indoor spaces and terrace with touches of yellow however wanted to change the developers paint scheme from it's rather austere white. He was keen to add some greys on the walls in the living dining area and reupholster a sofa and two occasional chairs with charcoals. I visited the Warwick showroom in Glebe and found some perfect textural plain dyes. I included some yellow and grey 'retro' designs for a new round ottoman and scatter cushions, coordinating with the existing yellows. Grey and yellow work so well together! Building on an existing scheme is possible if there is something to work with.

Here is a snapshot of the fabrics and wall colours that were sent in my package for the client to work through. It's important that the client has final say as it's their home or office being changed. As a colour consultant, I offer plenty of advice but it's the client who lives with the choices, so it's important that they are comfortable.
