Me either, but if you feel you do a corner cabinet in white would be a good choice.

I agree with carolannr. I don't think anything is necessary in that corner on the floor. But for kicks and giggles, try putting the table the other way. It costs you nothing and it'll make a huge difference in the room. Will it work for the way you live? I cannot say. However this is something I've done for clients and it completely changes the room..and zero cost :-) Do you need to have 6 chairs at the table? I mean are there six family members that eat at this table daily? If not, remove 2. That alone will make a huge impact.

After looking again....I'm thinking something is a bit off with the artwork in the dining area. I would add more pieces to the existing framed art to make a bigger impact. Can't tell what the art is on the picture, but you could add in similar framed items to make a gallery style wall of art. Maybe a mirror? If you decide to move the table's position, you might have room for a side board on that large wall. I think the one that's in your hallway might work. It actually looks a little undersized for the hallway. Do you have something that's a bit bulkier? A dresser perhaps that's about the same size but not so visually light?

Shop your own home and see what you can repurpose/reposition. If it doesn't work, you've not spent a penny and you might have a whole new look! Experimenting is fun and it can always be put back if it doesn't work.
