I can't give you specific names because I don't live near you. But I am updating my kitchen and baths with new counter tops, faucets etc. I thought I had to go through a contractor or KD.

I contacted one company that does counter tops for some general information. Not only was I surprised that they would work with me, but they will install my counter tops as well as the new sinks, faucets, garbage disposal units and even a new vanity in the powder room if I wanted it. I then contacted others and found similar services, they vary in what they will do. Even some of the stone yards have a side business doing this. Most of the stone yards - these are companies who only sell the slabs - would not work with me as their business model is to sell to the installers. I didn't realize there was a difference between the stone yard and the installers, I assumed they were one and the same - and some do both while others are strictly stone yards. The installers work with granite, marble, quartz, corian type material and laminate - basically all types of countertops.

I found reviews on Angie's list, yelp, friends and several other sources to help guide me on who was reliable. I'm a member of Costco and discovered they have a deal with Dupont (some granites, Corian and Zodiaq quartz) and they hooked me up with a company who is doing my kitchen and powder room. I bought new sinks, faucets etc. and they will install everything. Turns out of the 5 highly rated companies I contacted for quotes, this one was significantly cheaper, I preferred the Zodiaq quartz pattern and this company received the highest reviews. Plus they do a lot of commercial work for upscale restaurants, banks and Lowes etc. so I was able to check out their references.

So keep calling around and hopefully you will find someone.
