Plant Identification Help!

last modified: 11 years ago

I've just moved into a house and need help identifying the following plants. One I know is some type of rose, but wondering if anyone can help tell me which type?

It was cut to the ground by the property manager but is coming back strong with red/purple leaves and stems and quite large thorns.

There are three other shrub/bush stumps that were similarly cut down but I do not know what they are. All seem to be coming back fine.

There are the starts of what look to my untrained eye like morning glories, but I am not sure if that's what they are something undesirable but similar.

Finally, there are very thick long vines seemingly appearing out of nowhere with purple-green stems and purple/red/brown tinged leaves. Cutting a few down, I found they were filled with a generous amount of sap.

Just wondering if these are things I should keep around or get rid of!

Thanks in advance.
