Dog in a highrise?

Anyone have a dog in a high-rise? A dog in a high-rise with a balcony? Do you work out of the house all day? How does the dog do?

I think it all depends on the breed, I am retired and have a papillon, I dont live in a high rise, my apartment is on the ground floor. I have a screened in patio and I have wee-wee pads down that she uses when I cant take her out due to health issues. I would be extremely careful with a dog on the balcony unless it is screened in. Some dogs do well home alone and some like mine have separation anxiety, it would also depend on a dogs age how it would do. Others will give you more advise.

We have a dog on the 8th floor. No problems. Of course we don't let her out on the balcony without supervision.
