don't know if it's supposed to work, but that house has so much "weight"-depth, dimension, mass, presence, something like that-that I think a front door that matches the other trim would be excellent.

With the mass or whatever I'm trying to say of all that rich wood siding, you need something deep & powerful; different colors might look fussy & insignificant.

It's a beautiful house!
