I love your house! I have the same roof line on my house and I love the natural light coming from my 4 clerestory windows.

What I would not do is try to match to the colour of the brick. No matter how close you try to match it - it will look off (like it does now). Siding in a darker shade - espresso or black - would look sharp and modernize the look.

we are choosing prefinished engineered wood siding and the only dark color is mountain red, also too afraid of fading with a dark color

I would choose a mid tone warm gray. I think it would set off your features much better.

It would be helpful if you can show us a pic of the sample colours to avoid suggestions from Houzzers for colours that you cannot use based on your material choice.

here are the colors I can choose from, remember I have a brown metal roof

I don't want to bring attention to the brick

If you don't want the contrast to bring attention to the brick, so your best bet would be the reddish brown colour on the far right.

But if it were me, from the choices provided, I would choose the second one from the left. It doesn't seem to have as much green as the others and is more neutral that would coordinate well with the tones in your brick.

Personally I like the mid tone shades. Try photoshoping the colors. It will be easier to decide.

second from left has quite a lot of yellow tones. Husband picked the 4th from the left "sandy clay." The next one is "khaki"

You can always paint the brick if you don't like it. Then you could go with something like the brown roof, gray siding nd maybe darker gray brick.
